Build on three generations of bulk handling expertise, Van Aalst Marine & Offshore is a world-leading supplier of pneumatic cargo systems for the shipping and offshore oil and gas industry. Inventors of the seld-discharging cement carrier, and innovators of tank and discharge technology, Van Aalst is finding new ways to improve discharge efficiency and overall cost effectiveness. Exemplary for the company's innovation power is CargoMaxx, which allows a supply vessel to carry shore-to-platform cargo in the same tanks that are used for taking any return and waste cargo back to shore.

Van Aalst owns a 9,000 sq.m. industrial facility at the Dutch port of Dordrecht. This is where, besides the office headquarters, extensive production facilities, a full-fledged training centre and a state-of-the-art Pneumatic R&D centre are located. The Van Aalst production site is easily accessed by road and features a 150-metre waterfront accessible via the Port of Rotterdam. The Van Aalst quay can accomodate cargo vessels up to 10,000 DWT for construction or conversion.
